About the Lecture:
With the marking of Catholic Charities of Oregon’s 90th anniversary, it is an opportunity to reflect on the profound legacy of Catholic social teachings and the agency's foundation within its bedrock.
The celebration of this history of social justice aims to highlight the agency’s continued commitment to carrying on in an evolving social and cultural landscape.
About the Speaker:
Ed Langlois is communications director for Catholic Charities of Oregon. He spent 30 years as a reporter and editor for the Catholic Sentinel, official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Portland. He and other Sentinel staff reported on social topics. Ed was vice president of the Catholic Media Association and holds a master's degree in pastoral ministry from the University of Portland and is a proud member of the Oregon Catholic Historical Society.
